Who we are

Close enough to see the problem for ourselves.

Why any of this is in Sabah

Most technical work for Malaysian businesses is quoted out of Kuala Lumpur or offshore, by people who will never see the operation they are building for. That distance is where projects go wrong — not in the code, but in the fortnight of assumptions nobody checked.

We are close enough to sit in your office and watch the process that is not working. That is the entire advantage, and it is the reason the first stage of every engagement is a survey rather than a proposal.

The work itself is ordinary in the best sense: software that runs, infrastructure that costs what it should, advertising spend that can be traced to revenue, and an honest read on which of those you actually need. We would rather be the studio a business calls back in three years than the one that won a big first project.

How we work

Three commitments, each of which costs us something.

We will talk you out of work

The survey ends in a written recommendation, and often that recommendation is smaller than the project you asked about — or is a tool you can buy for a fraction of what building it would cost. You keep the document either way. A studio that only ever recommends its own services is not advising you, it is selling to you.

Boring technology, chosen on purpose

Almost every system we are asked to rescue was built on something interesting. We pick the dull, well-documented option you can hire for in Malaysia, and we write down why, so the next person inherits the reasoning and not just the code.

If it is not written down, it did not happen

Recommendations, trade-offs, the things we got wrong, and the runbook for whoever holds the system after us. This is the part clients notice a year later, and it is the part that makes us straightforward to stop working with.

Before you enquire

What we are not

We are not the cheapest
There is always someone quoting less. Sometimes they are the right choice and we will say so.
We take on what we can staff
Small team. If the work needs more people than we have, we tell you before you commit, not halfway through.
No lock-in by design
Your code, your infrastructure accounts, your data. The handover document is written from the first week, not the last.

Bring us the part that should work better.

You do not need a technical brief. Tell us what is slow, expensive, disconnected or unclear. We will help frame the next useful decision.

Common starting points

  • 01Our systems do not talk
  • 02Growth is hard to measure
  • 03We need to modernise
  • 04We need a technical second opinion
